Can I order a custom design?
Yes, of course you can. Custom designs will take a little longer, just simply fill in our contact form on our Contact page and get in touch with what you're looking for. Make sure you include the colour you're looking for, size and the whakaaro around it. We will quote it from there.
Do you have korowai in stock?
Any available stock will be posted for sale on our shop page. If there is nothing showing, it means we don't have anything available at the moment. If you are looking for something in particular, feel free to send us a message or fill in our contact form.
Where are you located?
We are based in Manurewa, South Auckland.
Is it pick up or delivery?
We can arrange pick up if you are based in, or travelling through Tāmaki-makau-rau. Otherwise select delivery at checkout and shipping rates will be applied.
Do you use real feathers?
Yes, I do. Rooster coque feathers and hen feathers sourced from a local small business based here in South Auckland.
When is appropriate to wear a korowai?
Generally people order korowai for a special occasion, such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, tangihanga (funerals), family portrait sessions, family reunions or mokopapa (tattooing ceremonies).
Are these hand-woven?
No. We advertise these as contemporary korowai as they are not hand woven. We make our korowai with a sewing machine.
